Where to Begin?!

PROBLEM: I have so much stuff. I’m so overwhelmed. I
don’t know where to begin.

SOLUTION: Limited your focus. One way to do this is to
make a *physical ring around what you will work on. In
the picture, the only items to focus on are in the ring.
Once you are done with the first ring of things you can
move the ring and get started on the next.

HINT: The ring was made with a piece of string.

Option for the Non-Pull Out Shelf

PROBLEM: I have deep cupboards in my kitchen and
the shelves don’t pull out. It is impossible for me to
get to the things in the middle and back of the shelves.

SOLUTION: Put a tray, baking pan, plastic bin, or
cardboard box on the shelf, which can act like a pull
out shelf. You can slide the bin part way out or take it
all the way out in order to access what you need. The
space behind the bin can be used for taller things that
are less often used and the area beside the bin can be
lined with the same item so you know exactly what is
there.

HINT: You might want to put felt strips on the bottom of
the container so that as you slide it in and out it doesn’t
scratch the shelf.

Delegate

PROBLEM: I have so much to do and
not enough time in the day.

SOLUTION: Look through your list to
see what you can delegate to someone
else. Perhaps you can’t delegate a whole
task but you can delegate part of a task.
For example, maybe someone else can wash,
dry, and fold the laundry and you only need
to pretreat and put it away.

HINT: Remember that the delegated tasks
might not be done exactly the way that you
would do them but that is okay. In the end,
you’ll have more time for other things.
